Shareware: MSO.exe (C++ matrix object-oriented engineering structural analysis) Overview
: MSO.exe for Windows is the easiest and the quickest
way to model and analyze 2D and 3D frame and truss structures. Screen Shot: The structure depicted is a structural steel tower 30 feet high carrying load at the top. The tower has a 3 feet square base tapering to a 1.5 feet square mid section. The tower carries 4,000 lb dead load vertically and 1,000 lb live load horizontally (e.g. wind or earthquake force) at the top of the tower. The base of the tower is anchored to the ground and gives rise to reaction forces as indicated. Steel bars in tension are depicted in blue while bars in compression are shown in red. Bars at risk of buckling under the loading are depicted in pink. The analysis indicates that the tower deflects with amplitude 0.7 inches at the top under the loading described. When excited (by wind or an earthquake tremor) the tower vibrates in simple harmonic motion with a fundamental frequency 10.5 Hertz (Hz). More here. Freeware: Matrix Tester.exe (C++ object-oriented matrix analysis) Overview : Tester.exe for Windows is the easiest and the quickest way to analyze matrices for their inverse, factor-decomposition, eigen-values and eigen-vectors etc. using a variety of comparative approaches including the Cholesky, Householder, Gauss, Gramm-Schmidt and Singular Value Decomposition methods. Example: A is a [2x2] square matrix. Find A's inverse Z = A^-1 and A's singular value decomposition A = U*S*Vt Screen shot: Input:
